What is Assam Rifles?
Friends Assam Rifle is also a department of the Indian Army which was formed in 1835. But for some time it was not known as Assam Rifles but as Catcher Levy. The main purpose of the Assam Rifles was to protect the British settlements and tea gardens of the tribal people. The headquarters of the Assam Rifles is in Shillong, people affectionately know it as the friend of the hill people because their main task is to provide security to the people of Assam.
Selection Process:
Based on the Assam Rifle notice, first of all students will have to pass the exam then the candidate who has cleared the written test will be medically examined.
Any student or applicant who will pass in the medical examination will be followed by document verification. After document verification, he will be given joining in Assam Rifles.
